Year of the Faith     Pope Benedict XVI has designated a Year of Faith from Oct 11, 2012 to Nov 24, 2013 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council and the 20th year anniversary of the issue of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.


*         Archbishop Miller will have a special Opening Mass on Oct 7 (Sunday), 2:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Cathedral.  Everyone is welcome.


*         "YOUCAT" is a catechism in color which is recommended by our Archbishop to everyone to consolidate our faith this year.  Pope Benedict XVI in its preface wrote "I invite you: Study this Catechism!  This is my heartfelt desire ..... study this Catechism with passion and perseverance." It is available in our gift shop at $12. 


First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament   Oct 5 (Fri).  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm. Vocations hour at 6 pm, Benediction at 7:45 pm followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m.  Please sign up at the Info Counter.


Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada   Each year, Catholics are invited to collaborate with their Bishops through the annual Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada.  This collection is being held today in parishes across the country.  The Bishops of Canada thank you in advance for your generosity and your commitment to the Church, following Christ's example.


ROSARY    October is the month of the Rosary.  You are invited to say Rosary together. Please come 25 minutes before every Sunday Masses (except 8:15 a.m.).


Adult Catechism (RCIA) 2012-2013

For inquirers and Catholics preparing for confirmation.

In Cantonese          (every Wednesday) 7-9 p.m.

In English                (every Thursday)     7-8:30 p.m.

In Mandarin           (every Saturday)     3-5 p.m.

Classes just started, please register as soon as possible.


Pro-life Mass will be held on Oct 6 (Sat) 9:30 a.m. at our parish, followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, rosary, vigil and light refreshment.


World Youth Day 2013 in Rio, Brazil    Would you like to join the 2013 World Youth Day?  For more info, please attend our info session on Sep 30 (this Sun) at 1:15 p.m. in Room E & F.


Children Catechism  PREP in English classes for Gr 1-7 every Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:15 pm have started, please register as soon as possible.  It is the parents' duties to send their children to be formed in faith, including First Communion and Confirmation.


YFFP (PREP for Secondary School  Students)   Classes are held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.    Registrations are still being accepted, please register as soon as possible.


CWL "A Glimpse of Africa" is a fund-raising event for charity on Oct 6 (Sat) at 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. featuring African dance, songs and food.  Tickets at $25 each are available after Mass.
