First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament         Jun 7 (Fri).  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm. Vocations hour at 6 pm, Benediction at 7:45 pm followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m.  Please sign up at the Info Counter.

 

First Communion    Please pray for our PREP children who will receive First Communion next Sunday.

 

PREP Registration   Children Catechism PREP in English Classes for Gr. 1-7 will begin from Sep 11 (every Wednesday) from 7:00-8:15 p.m. Registration form is available from the Info Counter.  Early Bird before June 30 has discount $20.

 

Summer Camp        We will run a fun summer camp from Jul 8-12.  Experience a great adventure of exciting events in the bible with a group of young team facilitators and other kids ages 8-10.  Fee is only $70 for an entire week of all-day fun and excitement.  Please bring your own lunch bag.  Sign up starts next week.  We are looking for volunteers ages 15 and up to help lead a fun summer camp.  It’s a great way to get leadership experience, while having a great time.  Sign up at the foyer after Mass or email cmccsummer@gmail.com.

 

Annual Clergy Retreat    Frs. Chu and Chang will be on retreat this week.  Daily morning Mass will be said by Fr. John Mak from Tuesday to Thursday.  Communion Service on Friday.  Please keep all the priests in your prayer.

 

Project Advance

 

God calls us to share what we have to help others.  How much we share is a sign of our love; when we love much, we share much.  Project Advance is an opportunity to show our love for the Lord by sharing our treasure with others in need all over our Archdiocese.  Please participate in Project Advance 2013.

*         Parish goal: $168,000, of which $42,000 goes to the

          Archdiocese and $126,000 for parish debt payment.

*         Suggestion: $432 for each family or $36/month for 12 months.

Catholic Friends      Mandarin Evangelization Evening will be held on Jun 15 (Sat) 6:30 p.m. at the Parish Hall.  Theme “Believe”.  Encourage Catholics to bring your non-Catholics family and friends.  Dinner provided with talk and sharing.

 

Church Etiquette

Church Attire  Please dress properly in the summer.  Decency and respect are the norm.

 

Church Property  Please keep our church property in clean and good condition.  Don’t draw or scratch the pews, tables or chairs.  Do not eat or drink inside Church.

 

Children’s Room  Please respect the quiet environment, prayerful atmosphere and the need of other parishioners to attend Mass in the room. No food or drink in the room.

 

Parking        To avoid being ticketed, park your car with care.  Traffic rule: 6 meters clear on each side of corner, and 1.5 meter clear on both sides of the driveway.  On Sunday, ENTER only from Granville Ave.  Yield to cars turning to Garrison Road from No. 2 Road after Mass.

 

Pro-life Mass & Vigil   Peaceful, prayerful vigil for unborn children and their parents will be held on Saturday, June 1.  Mass at 9:15 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 438 Great Northern Way, Vancouver followed by Rosary and Vigil in the Church.

 

St. Anthony of Padua Novena     You are invited to make the 9-day Mass/Novena to St. Anthony of Padua from Jun 5 to 13 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Parish, 1345 W. 73rd Ave., Vancouver.  Guest priest nightly.  On Jun 13 (feast day), procession starts at 6:30 p.m.

 

Migrants and Refugees  Prayerful retreat for those who support migrants and refugees. Office of Service and Justice will host it on Jun 1 (Sat) 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish.  Call 604-683-0281.
