First Communion   St. Noel Chabanel, one of our Canadian Martyrs, born exactly 400 years ago (1613) committed himself to Christ on this Feast of Corpus Christi.

Jesus Christ, my Saviour, who has willed that I, though altogether unworthy, should be the co-worker of Thy holy apostles in this vineyard of the Hurons, driven by the desire to obey the will of the Holy Spirit in my regards that I should somehow help forward the conversion to the Faith of this barbarians - I, Noel Chabanel, here in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, vow never to leave this mission of the Hurons...  I beg You, my Saviour, to be pleased to accept me as the perpetual servant of this mission and to make me worthy of so sublime a ministry.”

Let us pray for our First Communicant that they may be committed to love Christ and to receive Him worthily.

Happy Mother's Day

May God bless all the Mothers

And tend to their household needs

Before the needs of yourself

For they are there with comfort

For each child's broken heart,

Bringing them to God in prayer,

With His love to impart.
