Christmas

 

Jesus’s Birthday Cake       Dec 25 celebrates the birth of Jesus, Son of God.  He is the main reason for Christmas.  Invite your family and friends to His Christmas Mass Banquet.

 

Cantonese Youth Group    invites all youths to serve at “The Door is Open” on Christmas Day (Dec 25).  This organization helps prepare meals for those in need.  If interested, please contact Kenneth at cmcc.cantoneseyouthgroup@gmail.com. Please also pray and offer financial support to the new kitchen and dining hall in order to meet the needy.

 

Youth Christmas Celebration        will be held on Dec 30 (Sun) 11:45 am to celebrate Jesus Christ has come.  Cost will be $2 including lunch.  We welcome all youths and young adult to participate.  Please register at cmcc.yyam@gmail.com.

 

Donations to the Men’s Hostel    During winter season, about 100 men stay at the hostel on daily basis.  Donation of coffee mugs, winter socks and underwear are needed.  Please call 604-443-3292 or email menshotel@rcav.org.

“To Love is to Give” Food Drive    Collection of 853 items and $616 cash have been received.   Catholic Women’s Leagues (Chinese) would like to thank all parishioners.  All had been delivered to the Richmond Food Bank.

 

First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament      Jan 4 (Fri).  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm. Vocations hour at 6 pm, Benediction at 7:45 pm followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m.  Please sign up at the Info Counter. Divine Mercy Devotion  at 7:20 pm.  Prayer intentions will be offered in the Mass.

*         You are not alone.  We as a community, we will walk with you and pray for you.

*         A free gift of our weekly paper “BC Catholic” will be mailed to you.  Please sign up at the booth.

*         If you have any question about our community, look for the volunteer with a “Ask me” tag.

*         Confession is a way to be reconciled with God.  It is proper to have confession before receiving Communion at Mass.

*         Our church is open during office hour.  You are welcome to pray here in weekdays.

“From Believe to Trust” (Cantonese)  A talk for the Year of Faith by Deacon John Wu will be held on Jan 5 (Sat) 2:30-4:30 and Jan 5 (Sun) 2:30 - 6:30.

 

Photography Exhibition      will be held during Christmas on Dec 24 from 7:30 pm - 1:00 am and 25th at 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.  There will be photo sale and voting for “My Favourite Photo” to raise funds for the church.  Please support.
