In Mandarin           from Sep 14  (Saturday)              3-5 p.m.

 

PREP           Children Catechism PREP in English Classes for Gr. 1-7 will begin from Sep 11 (every Wednesday) from 7:00-8:15 p.m.

 

YFFP High school PREP (YFFP) is accepting registrations for this coming school year.    Volunteers facilitators are also needed (prefer those who have attended The Great Adventure Bible Study series or The Teen Timeline T3).

Searching in the Spirit        The annual post-confirmation training event taking place from Aug 19 - 23 at Camp Jubilee at the base of Mt. Seymour.  This event is for youth ages 12 & 13 who will have been confirmed by this summer.  Searching in the Spirit provides youth and adults with formation in discipleship, and inspires the newly confirmed to continue on in their faith journeys.  Visit www.oyyam.com for more info.

 

Salt & Light TV          Canadian Catholic TV is now offering Free View till Aug 19 in Shaw 160, Telus 159.    Also, fundraising Gala Dinner in helping the Catholic media ministry into the US and Mexico will be held on Sep 6 (Fri) at Italian Cultural Centre, Van.  Ticket at $80 each.  Call 604-771-2975.

 

Shining a Light on the Darkness of Elder Abuse          Estimated that between 4 and 10 percent of Canadian seniors experience some form of abuse.  Catholic Health Association of BC's annual conference at Executive Plaza Hotel, Coquitlam on Sep 19 (Thu) will address this problem.  Mass at 9 am celebrated by Archbishop Miller.  Registration $140.  All are welcome, information/registration, go online www.chabc.bc.ca.
