Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time – Oct 6, 2013

 

ROSARY MONTH    You are invited to say Rosary together in October. Please come 25 minutes before every Sunday Masses (except 8:15 a.m.).

 

REMEMBRANCE OF ALL SOULS   November is the month to remember all our departed family members, brothers & sisters and friends.  Please pick the "All Souls Day Remembrance" envelopes and drop into the collection basket during Mass or return to parish office. One Mass per envelope will be offered except indicated.

 

Year of Faith will end on Nov 24, 2013, every faithful one is called to keep on praying and spreading the Good News of God.

 

Prayer for Evangelization   "O God, who wills that all should be saved and come to the knowledge of truth, pour out your Spirit upon us and grant that we may respond zealously to your urgent call to lead back to the Church those who have strayed.  Prepare their hearts and minds to be receptive to the saving Gospel of your Son.  Send us as workers to gather in your abundant harvest, so that all your people, obedient to the Word and sustained by the power of the Sacraments, may advance in the way of salvation and love.  Through Christ our Lord.  Amen"

Celebration of Our Catechists in the Archdiocese  A day of highlight and celebrate the ministry of passing on the faith will include Mass with Archbishop Michael Miller, CSB; an Episcopal Blessing for Catechists. Serra Fraser Valley West   global lay apostolate for vocations to the priesthood and religious life seeks members from mainly Fraser Valley West & East deaneries.  Parishioners are welcome to the next meeting on Oct 10 (Thu), Mass at 7:30 p.m. and meeting at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish in Delta (8841, 119th St. Delta).

Infant Memorial Mass on International Day of Pregnancy and Infant Loss  The staff of Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel invite all to a Memorial Mass in remembrance of infants who have passed away.  The special Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish (2025 Napier St. Van) on Oct 15 (Tue) 7:00 p.m.  Reception to follow at church hall.
