Share Lent    The second collection this Sunday is to assist our Canadian Bishops to help the poor countries develop and to build peace.

 

Holy Week Liturgy

(all in English & Chinese except on Easter Sunday)

 

Mar 28          (Thu)  8:00 pm        Mass of the Lord's Supper

 

Mar 29          (Fri)    3:00 pm        Good Friday

(1) From age of 14 are bound to abstain from meat.  Those from 18 years to the beginning of their 60th year are bound to fast i.e. no meat with only one full meal be taken.

 

(2) The Good Friday Collection will be in support of the Christian communities, the Holy Land, the upkeep of the Holy Sites and  the formation of future priests.  Let us give generously and show solidarity to the needs of the Church in the land of Jesus.

Mar 31          (Sun)  Easter Sunday       

                    9:30 am        Chinese Mass

                    11:45 am      English Mass  (with baptism)

 

Stations of the Cross  will be held on Mar 22 (Friday). English at 7 p.m. and Chinese at 8 p.m.

RCIA - Rite of Scrutiny      Please pray for our elected who are preparing for their baptism this Easter.

 

A presentation by Catholic After Hours   "Just War Theory - A Philosophical and Theological Outline" by Daniel Hahn will be held on Mar 24 (Sun) at St Regis Bar and Grill, 608 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver.  Dinner at 6:30 p.m.; Talk at 7:30 p.m.  There is a small cover charge.  More info on Catholic After Hours Facebook page.

 

A Telecast by The National Catholic Mission 2013  Speakers Fr. Ron Rolheiser, OMI, Fr. Anthony Gittins, CSSp and Fr. Pat Fitzpatrick, CSSp will address the subject of Trust the lack of which can lead to paranoia and fear.  It will be telecast on Vision TV on Mar 25 & 26.  Part I is scheduled for Mar 25 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Part II on Mar  26 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

 

EWTN Catholic TV station EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) is available free in Shaw 167 till April 30.
