Adult Catechism (RCIA) 2013-2014
RCIA is a process involving various steps (rites) and stages that lead adults into full communion with the Catholic Church.
This process is for:
1) Unbaptized adult,
2) Adult baptized at non-Catholic church,
3) Adult Catholic who wants to receive
First Communion and/or Confirmation.
In Cantonese from Sep 11 (Wednesday) 7-9 p.m.
In English from Sep 12 (Thursday) 7-8:30 p.m.
In Mandarin from Sep 14 (Saturday) 3-5 p.m.
PREP Children Catechism PREP in English Classes for Gr. 1-7 will begin from Sep 11 (every Wednesday) from 7:00-8:15 p.m. Parents have obligation to send their baptized children to receive faith formation and sacraments.
YFFP High school PREP (YFFP) is accepting registrations for this new school year. Volunteers facilitators are also needed.
Prayer and Special Collection for Syria Responding to the Pope’s appeal for peace in the Middle East, a special second collection throughout the Archdiocese will be taken next weekend for those suffering displacement on account of the ravages of the war in Syria. The emergency humanitarian campaign is coordinated by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace. There will also be a Day of Prayer and Fasting for the people of Syria and the Middle East on Sep 14 (Sat). Let us generate our love and passion in spiritual and monetary way.
Parish Pastoral Council will be held on Sep 20 (Fri) 7:30 p.m. Each parish group should send at least one member to the meeting.
The Great Adventure - Book of James (Pearls for Wise Living) will start on Sep 13 every Friday evenings till end of December (11 sessions). $35 for workbook. Last week of registration, please register after Mass.
Viva Italia Our Lady Queen of Martyrs-CWL invites all to their Annual Cultural Night on Oct 5 (Sat) 6:30 - 10:00 p.m. at our parish. This is to raise funds for our rectory, vocations and to support our chosen charitable organization around the world and Canada. Tickets $25. Sponsorship is always welcome.
