Canadian Martyrs Solemnity   

Next weekend, our parish will celebrate 19th anniversary.  Seven children will be baptized in the 10 a.m. Sunday Mass.  Please pray for them.  All are welcome to the reception in hall after every Mass.

 

Year of Hope

A Musical Experience

How does one define hope?  In a world where there seems to be so much hopelessness, hope can feel like nothing more than a distant and elusive concept.  However, on Sept 28th , 7:00 p.m., our talented young members of the community will present HOPE - A Musical Experience here in celebration of the Year of Hope and the Feast of the Canadian Martyrs. Join us for a night of beautiful music and hear God’s message of Hope.

Free tickets are available.  Seats are limited!  If you’ve secured your tickets but decide not to attend, please return the ticket so that someone else can avail of the the opportunity.

Donation for the Food Bank is welcome.

 

First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament   

Oct 3 (Fri).  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm. Vocations hour at 6:00 p.m., Benediction at 7:45 p.m. followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m.  Please sign up at the Info Counter.

 

T3 Thy Kingdom Come   

Youth Faith Formation Program (YFFP) is accepting registrations for 2014-15.  

Class on every Wednesday.

 

What Catholics Believe? 

Catechetical program designed for those: (1) unbaptized persons, (2) baptized Christians of other denominations, and (3) Catholics with little formal study of the Faith.  We welcome all of you to our next RCIA session every Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

CWL Cultural Night- The Fabulous 50’s Event     

Do you enjoy dancing?  Or like to listen to 50’s music?  Dance on the memory lane and have fun at the fabulous 50’s event on Oct 4 (Sat) at the parish hall from 6:30 p.m.  Tickets are $25 each which includes dinner with raffle prizes.  All proceeds will go to charity.  This event is hosted by CWL and the ladies will be selling tickets after each Mass.

 

Needs of the Canadian Church   

Next week, the second collection is for the financial assistance to support the work of Bishops in Canada.  Please be generous.

 

Parish Religious Education Program (PREP)            

Registration is ongoing for students in elementary and junior high grades.  Registration forms are available at the Info Counter.  Class on every Wednesday 7 p.m.

 

Scripture Sessions  

Fr. Peter Chiang will be teaching in Mandarin scriptural topics and catholicism matters, on Saturdays from 3:25 - 4:15 p.m. in Rooms A and B.  All Mandarin speaking parishioners and friends are welcome.
